Pester A Pollie

Write a short note to a politician telling them how you feel and what your concerns are. Don't worry about how 'good' your letter is, or whether you're saying the 'right' things. The biggest thing is to write SOMETHING. It doesn't matter if it's long or short, handwritten or done on computer, neat or messy, email or 'snail mail' - just DO IT and SEND IT. :-)

Two tips: whatever you're writing, make sure you (a) ask a question (e.g. 'Will you pledge to stop mining in the Bylong Valley?', or 'What is your party doing to preserve good agricultural land from the threat of mining?') and (b) ask for an answer (e.g. 'I look forward to your response').

Don't worry about trying to write to everyone - just plan to write at least ONE letter - everything else is a bonus!

(In fact, why not order some of our fantastic 'Let Bylong Be Bylong' postcards and send one to a pollie with a one-liner like 'What are you doing to save the Bylong Valley?'.)
